Kathmandu Travel
The capital city Kathmandu flaunts an excellent combination of heritage and
natural beauty. Perched at an altitude of 1336m, Kathmandu houses Pashupatinath

heritage site Swayambhunath Stupa is a must visit Buddhist shrine in Nepal.

Located at a distance of 306 km from Kathmandu, Lumbini holds the divine privilege

the major attraction here. Mayadevi Temple, Puskai Pond and Nepal Buddha Temple
are the other destinations, which you should not miss in your trip to Lumbini.
Patan
Nestled on the bank of Bagmati river, Patan is a heritage destination with
Durbar Square, enlisted as UNESCO heritage site. Numerous Hindu temples and
Buddhist Monasteries including Krishna Mandir, Mahabouddha temple, Hiranya
Varna Mahaviha (golden temple) fringed in the city make Patan a major tourist
attraction in Nepal.

Nepal shopping is pure fun while wandering in the narrow mazes of local markets.
Especially handicraft items are the major attractions in Nepal shopping. Dazzling
metal jewelleries, paintings, images, carpets and Nepalese crafts are the
hot favourites among the tourists coming here.
Try the Nepali Taste
Bhat (rice), Dal (lentil soup), Tarkari (vegetable curry) and Masu (meat preparation)
are the major foods of Nepal. Spicy Achar (pickle) add some more taste to
the delectable Nepalese cuisine. The Himalayan home brew made from barley
is the specialty of Nepal beverages and we suggest you to give it a definite
try. Also taste locally produced beer or chang.
Reach the Heaven
Enter Nepal through Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu, the only international
airport in Nepal. Regular flights from Bangkok, Delhi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Kuala
Lumpur, Mumbai, Osaka, Singapore and Shanghai connect Kathmandu by Royal Nepal
Airlines.
Nepal is accessible by bus from India through three different points. From
Varanasi you may access Sunauli-Bhairawa; from Kolkata, Birganj-Raxaul Bazaar
is easily accessible and Kakarbhitta-Siliguri serves good option from Darjeeling.
