Day 01: Bangalore
Arrive Bangalore the garden city of India. Afternoon city tour of Bangalore.
Overnight at St Marks Hotel.
Day 02: Bangalore - Mysore
Morning drive to Mysore through beautiful cardamom hills. On arrival check
in at hotel.
Rest of the day free to explore the city by own. You can visit
the local market. Overnight at Sandesh Prince hotel.
Day 03: Mysore
Today, you will go for a guided tour of Mysore to see the Maharajas Palace,
Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangapattanam encircled by river Cauvery. Visit
Ranganathittu bird sanctuary. Overnight at Sandesh Prince hotel
Day 04: Mysore - Ooty
Drive to Ooty, the beautiful hill station covered over by tea plantations.
Overnight at Holiday Inn.
Day 05: Ooty
Today visit Botanical Garden, Lake and tribal Village. Take toy train to Coonor.
Overnight at Holiday Inn.
Day 06: Ooty - Wayanad
Head for Vythiri, near Wayanad, the enchanting hill resort with green valleys
and majestic mist clad mountains, sparkling streams, rare plants and animals
as well as singing birds. Overnight at Vythiri resort.
Day 07: Wayanad - Calicut
Morning drive to Calicut. On arrival check in at Resort. Evening visit Kalar
Centre for demonstration of Kalaripayattu, the martial art of Kerala is regarded
as the oldest and most scientific in the world. The demonstration includes
the use of weapons such as swords, spears, daggers, the bow and arrow. Overnight
at Kadavu Resort.
Day 08: Calicut - Trichur
Continue to Trichur, the cultural capital of Kerala. Enroute visit Punnathoor
fort at Guruvayoor, the place home to temple elephants numbering over 45.
Afternoon visit Kalamandalam, the dance and music academy gives training in
art forms of Kerala. Overnight at River Retreat.
Day 09: Trichur - Cochin
Morning after breakfast drive to Cochin, known as the commercial capital of
Kerala. On arrival check in at Hotel. Evening witness the Kathakali dance
performance, the dance drama of Kerala. Overnight at Casino Hotel.
Day 10: Cochin
Morning go for city tour of Cochin which includes Jewish Synagogue and Mattancherry
Palace. Afternoon for boat cruise to see the nearby islands. Overnight at
Casino Hotel.
Day 11 Cochin - Periyar
Proceed to Periyar wildlife sanctuary, home to nomadic tribes of wild elephant,
boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more. Evening go for boat cruise in
the lake to watch wild animals. Overnight at Spice Village.
Day 12: Periyar
Go for guided trekking in the forest to see the rare species of plants and
animals. Afternoon visit spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper,
coffee, tea estates, etc. on your way back to the hotel, you could stop at
the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight at Spice Village.
Day 13: Periyar - Kumarakom
Morning after breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Here, you will stay in a backwater
resort on the bank of Vembanad Lake. Overnight at Coconut Lagoon
Day 14: Houseboat Trip
Drive to Alleppey and on arrival go on a leisurely backwater cruise along
the lake on a thatched houseboat. The houseboat with all modern comforts lets
you discover the countryside at your own pace. You will have lunch, dinner
and breakfast in the Houseboat. Overnight at Houseboat
Day 15: Kovalam
Kovalam, a former fishing village enchanted by the strips of golden sands
laced with rich greenery of coconut palms. Full day enjoy the beach. Overnight
at Travancore Heritage.
Day 16 to 18: Travancore Heritage
The Travancore Heritage is an attractive and well-facilitated resort on the
sea-side, (you can watch a beautiful sunset here) spread through an area of
15 acres with lush green coconut garden and sceneric hinterland. It is situated
at Chowara - south of Kovalam, near Trivandrum, Kerala.
Day19: Departure
Transferred to airport/railway station.
