- Delhi
Day 1: Delhi - Uttarkashi
Arrive delhi, drive towards Uttarkashi, a district headquarters in the upper
section of Bhagirathi valley at an altitude of 3000 ft, with Bhagirathi River
flowing through the town. Stop enroute at Haridwar for lunch. Check in hotel
Shiv Linga on arrival in the evening. Relax and prepare for next days trek.
Overnight at hotel Shiv Linga right next to the River.
Day 2: Uttarkashi - Agoda
(17 kms drive, 5 kms Drive to Kalyani (the road head) and then start the trek
(5 kms, 2-3 hrs). After a gradual climb arrive at the camp. Enjoy the evening
in the beautiful surroundings at (7000 ft). Dinner and overnight at Camp.
Day 3: Agoda - Dodital
After breakfast start the day on trek to reach Dodital. A high altitude lake
at 10,900 ft with crystal clear water and surrounded by the thick forest of
alpine trees and inhabited by great Himalayan Trout, is a delight for anglers
as well as nature lovers. (A permit is required for fishing in the lake).
Surrounded by mountains, the lake is a paradise to be at and its peace and
tranquility which adds to its beauty. Dinner and overnight at Camp.
Day 4: Dodital
Spend the day fishing or just hiking in the forest. This region is inhabited
with rare wild life including the snow leopard, snow fox, monal, etc. Dinner
and overnight at Camp.
Day 5: Dodital - Agoda
Return to Agoda on the same route and camp overnight.
Day 6: Agaoda - Chamba
Trek down to Kalyani to end the tryst with mountains and drive back to Uttarkashi
for lunch. Drive to Chamba in the afternoon to check in to hotel Classic Hill
Top. Chamba is situated at 5500 ft high ridge. It is a small town, which provides
breathtaking views of the High Himalayas and fabulous sunrise and sunset.
Enroute one can visit the construction site of Asia's largest Mud Dam being
built in Tehri Garhwal. Dinner and overnight at hotel Classic Hill Top.
Day 7: Chamba - Haridwar
Drive to Haridwar and check in to hotel. Visit Har ki pauri on the banks of
The Ganges, the sacred river. Also the venue for the Mahakumbh, this place
is one of the most sacred places in the Hindu religion. The daily prayers
on the banks of The Ganges (Ganga) are performed in the evening, which is
a wonderful sight and provides an opportunity to catch a glimpse of the rich
Indian culture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8: Haridwar - Delhi
The whole day visiting the Haridwar, Rishikesh, in the evening back to delhi.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Delhi
The full day sight seen of remembrance of capital of India. In evening transfer
to the airport towards the destination.
